You will need:

SJB's Weapon Pack v1.1
LSR's Weapon Pack v1.1
OFP:R v1.96
Combat! Misc v1.2

Installation:

Simply replace the FP_US_I addon in your addons folder (in OFP's main directory, or whatever mod you have installed), or add it by itself if you don't have the original installed - it doesn't matter which way you do it.

Contains:

US Infantry and APC crew aiming to replicate those of the 1st Infantry Division.

You will find them in the Editor under "US Men."

Features:

- Detailed models with accurate texturing and equipment.

- Blood textures.

- Animated NVGs.

- Animated goggles on rifleman models.

- Use of Llauma's FaceTex2 for that FacePlant touch.

- A load of scripts designed to give maximum realism and functionality with NVGs for AI and players, including:
	1. Daytime check-and-apply scripts for AI units.
	2. In-vehicle removal and non-vehicle readdition for players (to prevent view blocking in first person view when invehicles)
	3. Re-run prevention to minimise computer usage.

USAGE TIPS + TRICKS:

- To lower the goggles on the riflemen (units with uncovered goggles):
	=> this animate ["goggles",1]

- To maximise the functionality of your own NVGs, DON'T go fiddling around with the AI's NVGs. There is an engine limitation which means you can often FUBAR your own NVG scripts by activating those of the nearby AI.

If this does occur, simply cycle through the action menu until you get back to the state you were in (for example, if your NVGs were on and you accidentally raised an AI's NVGs, thus disabling your own, simply walk away from the AI and reset your NVGs by pushing "N" and lowering them again via the action menu).

To reiterate: DON'T fiddle with the AI's NVGs, even if you're squad leader. They will put them on/take them off themselves at around 7pm and 5am respectively, so let them be, and enjoy the eye candy they provide.

KNOWN BUGS:

- These are not lightweight units. They are designed for serious nutcases like myself with serious computers. I'm running about 6 squads worth on Retextured Malden as I write this, and it runs sweetly. I apologise to those with weaker computers, but I'm really not willing to sacrifice niceness for speed, especially since FacePlant is not really lower-computer friendly.

- There can (extremely rarely) be some issues with the NVGs when disembarking from a vehicle. Simply reset your NVGs using N and the action menu, and off you go.

- Still some minor clipping issues with the ACU shirt, however, this is a model problem inherent in Laser's model, so it's not likely to be fixed, since I like the model the way it is.

- Saving and loading will hide the NVG model if present, however, players can manually reset their own, and the AI will regain theirs in ~5 minutes of loading. Damn, those scripts I wrote are awesome!

- For some reason, you will not see binoculars in 3rd person view (when used by units wearing the MICHs).

However, I encourage them to approach me if they are not satisfied with the way their model(s) are used in this addon, and I thank them once again for making them.)
